Alnwick Castle and Hulne Abbey is a magnificent venue for civil wedding ceremonies and receptions.
Whether you are planning an intimate celebration or a more lavish occasion, your wedding will be everything that you ever dreamed of.
This certainly was the case for a recent wedding I had the priveledge to capture for Amanda and Dave. They got married in the stunning Hulne Abbey to perfect weather followed by their reception in the amazing Alnwick Castle.
You'll enjoy a magical wedding at Alnwick Castle
Alnwick Castle offers an amazing historical wedding atmosphere, with its beamed roof and stone archways, which makes it perfect for any wedding celebration.
But first lets join the wedding party at Hulne Abbey for the start of their amazing day.
Hulne Abbey provides an atmospheric setting, with ruined walls and beautiful archways which lead to hidden alcoves and a secret garden.
Hulne Abbey is a truly exclusive and enchanting venue, nestled on a hillside in the private parklands of the Duke of Northumberland, surrounded by medieval walls.
Guests were welcomed into the ceremony and reception in the grounds, to the ample space for the marquee. It was an amazing day for the weather and made it more memorable allowing all to enjoy the warmth of the afternoon sun.
The grounds offered ample space for a marquee with guests able to mix and mingle amongst the historic grounds. There's also enough space for the Bride and Groom to get some couple shots away from the crowd.
The Alnwick Castle Guest Hall is a magnificent venue for your ceremony and reception; it offers truly iconic surroundings in which to celebrate your special day, together with an experienced team to ensure all your dreams come true. It can accommodate up to 200 guests for ceremonies and 160 for wedding breakfasts. The hall includes the use of the Castle Courtyard, and offers its own licensed bar and has plenty of room for dancing!!
A MAGICAL WEDDING TWIST
Broomsticks Ready !!! Guests enjoy Broomstick Training with Alnwick Castle’s very own resident Professors on the very lawn where Harry Potter first learned to fly.
Alnwick Castle also doubled as Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films, so to capture Amanda and Dave's day taken against the truly cinematic backdrop of the castle was amazing.
You might know this gloriously medieval castle as Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films, but you can't beat Alnwick Castle for a magical wedding venue.
THE GUN TERRACE
Guests got to enjoy their reception drinks on the majestic gun terrace against the stunning backdrop of Alnwick Castle and with sweeping views of the Alnwick Pastures.
