Why should we go with you as our wedding photographer?
The best thing about Wedding Photography is that any prospective couples have a chance to check out a photographers work online. I simply tell anyone interested in hireing me as your wedding photographer then judge me by my images. If you like what you see then you're my type of client and my aim will be to give you some amazing images 'capturing the moments' of your special day.
What style of wedding photography will you provide?
My style of photography is light and unobtrusive for the candid shots, I also want you to have those extra special pictures for your album or wall and that's where I take pride in setting the scene for those moments. I strive to capture the moments of your wedding day. My goal is to provide you with a documentary based illustration of your wedding day with minimal guiding or posing. It's my intention to capture the relationship between two people in love and the moments of the day.
My aim is to provide you with memories of your day you will treasure for the rest of your life. We want to capture those moments of your special day so when you look back in the weeks, months or years to come you can relive the day and all the events of the day that made it so special.
I’ll work really naturally and unobtrusively and you’ll be too busy having the time of your lives to notice me, but I'll be there to capture your day!

What to do Next?
Check out my website for the quality of the images. If you like what you see then drop me an email or give me a call and we can have a chat about your plans. Let me know your full names, wedding date/location, your address and I can draw up the paperwork. I'll send you a booking form and contract.
How do we secure our wedding date?
With a 20% deposit which you can send via bank transfer, cheque or PayPal. About half of my clients meet up before booking, the rest are happy to just chat on the phone, then book me to secure the date and meet up closer for their free pre wedding shoot prior to the big day.
What is this Pre Wedding Shoot?
I love the pre wedding shoot and that's the feedback I get from my clients. Its fun, light hearted and a chance to meet up before the big day. I personally meet up with all my clients for their free pre wedding shoot. I am flexible and can meet up most days or evenings as I realise work often gets in the way of weekday wedding planning!
My fiancée hates having his/her photo taken!
Not a problem! I totally get that some people are just shy or don't like posed or staged shots. My style of photography is light and unobtrusive with plenty of natural candid shots.
We don’t want lots of posed shots. Is that a problem?
Thats not a problem. For most of the day I’ll work really naturally and unobtrusively and you’ll be too busy having the time of your lives to notice me, but I'll be there to capture your day. I think it’s much more valuable to capture the actual story of the day, and the real moments rather than directing things. A photo of you laughing with friends and family are so much more precious than you fake laughing because I’ve said ‘Smile please!'
Do you as the wedding photographer have any requirements?
I do like to have about 1/2 hour away from your guests to take some couple portraits but more if you’re loving it of course !!! This is where my 'Free Pre Wedding Shoot' comes into play. You've already done the shots on this shoot but now your in your wedding dress. I find your now relaxed and it goes smoothly and you get time to capture your breath while I continue to capture your day!
Your style is quite natural, but will you take formal photos?
Absolutely! I recommend a few group shots as their part of your day and its a chance of getting everyone together in various shots.
I do group shots at almost every wedding, and I actually enjoy them, not least because I see how important they often are to parents and grandparents. Dont worry we will get them done in under 20 mins then back to the celebrations.
A final group shot is great as it captures everyone there on the day. Makes a great wall canvas!
And there's always time for some fun shots later on in Photoshop !!!
Group shots can be quick but often turn out to be memorable so its well worth getting some in your package.
What equipment do you use?
I work with professional Nikon full frame format DSLR cameras and carry spares of everything. Spare Cameras, spare lenses, spare flashes, and what feels like a hundred spare batteries. I love and am accumulating a nice selection full format cameras and a host of prime lenses, which is turning into an expensive habit! I've got spares, spares and more spares!!!
How long does it take for us to see our photos?
I aim to get you your images within 4-6 weeks on a bespoke USB in presentation box.
Can we print the photos from the USB stick?
Yes indeed! Please copy, print, share your images with family friends, guests at your wedding and share with everyone you know, their your images. I only ask one thing ..........Tell everyone who took them ;0)
Do you just photograph weddings?
Yes. I decided to specialize in wedding photography and commit 100% to this style of photography. I'm a wedding photographer through and through. It gets my commitment 100% and I give my clients 100% in this field. When I'm not photographing weddings I like to capture family, friends and some personal projects. I love photography and always look for a challenge.
Anything else I need to know?
If you have any questions please just ask. I'm here to help with all your wedding photography so you can relax on your wedding day knowing its all taken care of. Drop me a line via the contact page or click here >
What happens after booking?
I love it when clients keep in touch. If you get back to me and say Alan we really like this picture but wish it was in black and white. Then don't worry I will sort it out. My clients are very important to me as you are my future referral to other clients. So yes I look after my clients after the wedding.
Do we need to feed you on the wedding day?
I know weddings are expensive having paid for two. So please, please don't go to the added expense of expecting to feed me. I'll grab a quiet moment when everyone else is having their meals to review my images and then get back at it. A coffee or soft drink would be very much appreciated to keep me going.
Do you have insurance?
I do things properly, so as well as my gear being insured I’ve got property and public liability insurance.
Do you work alone?
I work quickly and like to be as unobtrusive as possible so generally work alone, but where necessary I can bring a second shooter. Happy to chat about this and give a quote if you’d like.
What happens if you’re ill on our wedding day?
Firstly it's never happened yet and have never come close to missing a day. I’m pretty robust but I’m a member of several networks of photographers who cover each other in case of emergency so I’m confident someone would be able to cover.
Will the photos be in colour or black and white?
I shoot in colour and turn the ones I think will look good into black and white. If you want any others turned black and white let me know the file number and I’ll happily convert them for you.
We didn’t choose a package with a wedding album – is it too late?
No problem. I recommend doing it within 3 months of the wedding otherwise from experience you might never get round to it and images take up a lot of space.
Thank you for stopping by and please check out our Gallery Pages for more images and if you like what you see check out our contact page.
We would love to photograph your special day and capture your memories for you!
